Do I need previous experience for the treks?
Not for most of them. Each tour shows its difficulty level and our guides adapt the pace to the group.
How do I acclimatize to the altitude?
We recommend 1 to 2 days in Cusco before any trek: walk slowly, stay hydrated and avoid heavy meals. We send you a preparation guide when you book.
How far in advance should I book Machu Picchu?
Entrance tickets have limited daily capacity. In high season (May to September) we recommend booking 3 to 4 months ahead; for the Inca Trail, even earlier.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
The dry season, from May to October, brings clear skies. From November to March there is more rain, but the landscapes are green and there are fewer visitors. The Inca Trail closes in February for maintenance.
