This Andean shamanic initiation is designed for those wishing to gain firsthand insight into the spiritual traditions of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and dedicate time to personal growth. Held in the town of Pisac—renowned for its tranquility, natural beauty, and cultural richness—the experience combines ancestral ceremonies, traditional teachings, and guided reflection led by Andean masters. Through various rituals and activities, participants can explore new perspectives, strengthen their inner well-being, and connect with one of the Andes’ most valuable cultural legacies.
Over the course of four days, this Andean shamanic initiation offers the opportunity to experience some of the most significant ceremonies of the Q’ero tradition at sacred sites within the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Through ancestral rituals, energy harmonization, connection with Pachamama, protection ceremonies, and traditional offerings, participants undergo a journey of learning, reflection, and personal empowerment guided by an Andean shaman master. It is an authentic experience designed for those seeking to delve deeper into the ancestral wisdom of the Andes and connect with nature in a unique way.
Energy Cleansing and Coca Leaf Oracle

- Preparation for high-altitude terrain (Kinsacocha): On Day 2, you will visit Kinsacocha Lagoon (located above 4,000 meters/13,123 feet above sea level). Drink plenty of water starting on Day 1, consume coca or *muña* tea, and avoid heavy meals before the ascent.
- Layered clothing and warm outerwear: The Chahuaytiri and Kinsacocha areas experience strong, cold winds. Bring thermal clothing, a windbreaker, a warm hat (such as a *chullo*), gloves, and hiking footwear with good traction.
- Sun protection: Solar radiation is intense in the Andes at altitudes above 3,500 meters (11,483 feet). Use high-SPF sunscreen, wear a hat or cap, and use sunglasses with UV protection.
- Personal journal for introspection: Bring a notebook or journal to record your impressions, intentions, and messages received during the *Karpay* initiation and the other eight ceremonies.
Does the program include hotel nights and main meals?
No. The itinerary includes the ceremonies, private transportation, guiding services, and daily refreshments. Accommodation in Cusco or the Sacred Valley, as well as lunches and dinners, must be arranged separately.
What do the included refreshments consist of?
They are light snacks, hot Andean herbal infusions, water, and seasonal fruits designed to replenish energy between nature walks and ceremonies.
Do the eight Andean ceremonies require the consumption of power plants?
No. They are ancestral energy rituals based on meditations, prayers, live music, elements of nature (coca leaves, flowers, fire), and intentions, without the use of psychoactive plants or substances.
Is prior experience required to receive the Karpay initiation on Day 2?
No. The Karpay ceremony is accessible to anyone with the desire and openness to connect with the energy of Pachamama and the sacred Apus.
